MaRen helps parents through the process of buying their daughter her first bra

Your tween’s or teen’s first bra should be a memorable moment and something she will remember celebrating with you! It may seem simple and indeed natural, but for a girl to see herself evolve into the beautiful woman she was meant to become can be daunting for her and for you. Moms, MaRen understands your pain: “not too baby, but yikes; not to grow-up either.” Enter MaRen with its “in between” concept that is changing that experience and ensuring that you and your daughter have a “go to” fashion brand, designed with the tween/teen in mind. Founder and Creator Alisia Grenville, says she just, “Really wanted to create a bra that supported her confidence and beauty understanding where she was at that moment.”

Finding a bra that fits

MaRen is a brilliantly fun undergarment brand whose brand stylists are both North American and European, while MaRen is manufactured right here in Canada.

MaRen’s practical collection pieces, cleverly introduced through its tween logo “C’est-Me!” (a play on our Canadian English and French heritage), introduces its patented fastening system, with the world’s first ever buttoned bra. MaRen has three styles that cover her initial needs. The C’est Me! AVALA collection Crop Top bra, the AVALA Triangle bra and the AVALA Sports bra are three great first bras for any girl! Each bra can be mixed and matched with C’est Me! AVALA bottoms are perfect for her style, shape and mood. But for those days when she just wants to have her “me” moment, the AVALA Super Soft Camisole hits the spot. So soft on the skin — she’ll hardly know it’s there! The camisole with matte microfibre, ruffle-edged elastic inside, and jacquard designed straps are light, fashionable and ultra-comfortable. In three vibrant colours, any one of the pieces in this collection would make any first choice memorable.

The story behind the brand

Some brands are born out of necessity and others out of passion. The inspiration for MaRen was born out of both.

The necessity stems from the desire to open a rich and real dialogue between a mother and her daughter(s), an aunt and her niece, sister to sister — that first conversation about their own transformation from girl to young lady and eventually into the woman she was born to become.

MaRen embraces what makes us each an individual and sees the first bra as the catalyst to begin that conversation with our daughters — an opportunity for sharing our true selves, personality and character while allowing flaws and imperfections to be a holistic and natural virtue of her very own story.

The MaRen story starts with its young lady brand “C’est-Me” and its first collection, the AVALA collection! Seven simple pieces, three colours, designed with her in mind. Grenville, founder and creator, is passionate about girls having an authentic voice and being able to tell their stories. The MaRen story continues with future collections for more mature young ladies and older teens because her story continues.

4 Reasons Your Daughter’s First Bra Should Be From MaRen

1. MaRen knows that a girl’s first bra and undergarment collection should be soft, light, flexible and, of course, expandable so that it moves just as freely as she does.
2. MaRen chooses quality materials from Europe, made of nylon and spandex to ensure she will be both covered and comfy.
3. MaRen’s patented button fastening system gives her the ability to interchange her straps to suit her mood and adding beautiful rosettes and decorative etiquettes to make it feel and look her own. At a time in life when finding her own style is so important, MaRen lets her make her first bra even more fun and fashionable!
4. MaRen knows that getting the fit right can be tricky, which is why its four-size chart makes it easy for you to know exactly what size she needs. Know that having her measured by a professional is always the best way to go for a sure fit and feel.
